Some houses you recommend the way you would share a secret. Maison Les Ailes is the home of a friend, Aude, in Uzès, a village I am particularly fond of: to me, one of the most beautiful in France, where the sunsets are simply sublime.
A few minutes’ walk from the historic centre, this exceptional 350 m² bastide is set in 1,800 m² of wooded grounds. Golden stone, shutters in the colours of Provence, olive trees, a pergola and a 12-metre salt-water pool: everything here breathes the gentleness of the South.
Inside, generous light-filled spaces, exposed beams and sublime decoration, blending works of art, vintage finds and bold colours. A rare atmosphere reigns here: this house has a true soul. Every room is a pleasure to live in, and everyone feels at home. Five bedrooms welcome family and friends.
The house is rented as a whole and welcomes up to ten guests. It also hosts wellness workshops and weekends: yoga, massages, days to recharge. It can also be booked privately for events, with family, friends or for a seminar.
Stone lanes, the Place aux Herbes, the Saturday market… From the house, Uzès is explored on foot, at the pace of the South.
